Mothers On a Mission (MOM) is a nonprofit charitable organization based in Westfield, NJ. Our mission is to help women and children in developing countries achieve equality and justice through education and healthcare.
Through t-shirt drives, Halloween costume sales, silent & live auctions, and other fundraising efforts, MOM
has raised over $130,000 since its founding 2009, helping women
& children around the world, including Uganda, Nigeria, and
Ethiopia. Thanks to the energy and dedication of our members and supporters we are helping to prove that Every Helping Hand Adds Hope.
After reading Half the Sky by Nicholas Kristof, Kerry Mooney and Ali Costalos were moved by the struggle of women and children in the developing world. They founded MOM in 2009 and since then MOM has grown to almost 20 members strong and has hosted numerous charitable events.
In July 2013, MOM was featured on the website Half the Sky Movement- an initiative to turn oppression into opportunity for women worldwide.
Mothers On a Mission (MOM) is a registered 501c3 nonprofit charitable organization. We hope you will visit this website again soon to see what projects we have planned. To get involved with MOM, or learn more about our upcoming events, please fill out our contact form.
